Week Ending 28th April 2013 / Singles Chart

There is no surprise at the top of this week’s French singles chart as “Get Lucky” spends a second week at number one for Daft Punk featuring Pharrell Williams. In its first full week of sales, the song sold 33,412 downloads (-14%) for a total of 72,299 in ten days.

It’s up three at number two for Robin Thicke featuring T.I. and Pharrell with “Blurred Lines” in their fourth week in the top 10 (10,500 sales / +8%). So as a featured artist, Pharrell Williams sings on this week’s two best-selling songs, that feat last appeared on the chart in the week ending 1st October 2005 when… Crazy Frog was at the top with “Popcorn” and at two with “Axel F”.

In his seventh week inside the top 10, Maître Gims is back up a place at three with “J’Me Tire” (9,200 sales / -6%). It’s down two at number four for Alex Hepburn‘s “Under” in its third week in the top 10 (7,985 sales / -31%). “Can’t Hold Us” moves up one at five for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis featuring Ray Dalton in its seventh week inside the ten best-sellers (7,900 sales / +10%).

“Just Give Me A Reason” climbs one place at number six for P!nk featuring Nate Ruess in its sixth week in the top 10. Even if it peaked at four, the song registers its best sales figures this week (7,000 sales / +3%). In their eighth week inside the ten best-sellers, The Lumineers are also up a place at seven with “Ho Hey” (5,300 sales).

Bruno Mars moves up two at number eight with “Locked Out Of Heaven” in his 22nd week in the top 10 (5,060 sales / -1%). There is no change at nine for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis featuring Wanz with “Thrift Shop” in their 16th week inside the top 10. “Play Hard” is back up four places at ten for David Guetta featuring Ne-Yo & Akon (4,300 sales), the song reached number seven.

One song drops out of the top 10 this week. After just one week inside the ten best-sellers, Maude falls a massive 22 places at 25 with “Love Is What You Make Of It” (2,139 sales / -80%).

In its fifth week on the chart, “#thatPOWER” climbs three at number 12 for will.i.am featuring Justin Bieber. “I Knew You Were Trouble.” gets its highest charting position this week as it’s up eleven at number 14 for Taylor Swift (3,167 sales), the song equals “Love Story” which also reached that position in July and August 2009.

In his third week on the chart, PSY already falls five places at 16 with “Gentleman”. “Let Her Go” is up eleven at number 17 for Passenger in its seventh week inside the top 200 (2,900 sales / +38%). It’s a good week for the 2012 winner of the UK X Factor, James Arthur climbs a massive 18 places at 27 with “Impossible” (2,000 sales).

There are two brand new entries inside the top 40. “Poupée De Cire, Poupée De Son” enters at 21 for Jenifer (2,297 sales). The song is taken from her new album Ma Déclaration which will be released on 3rd June, it will consist of France Gall‘s songs. “Poupée De Cire, Poupée De Son” (written and composed by Serge Gainsbourg) was the 1965 Eurovision Song Contest winner for Luxemburg. Taken from the second volume of Génération Goldman, “Quand La Musique Est Bonne” debuts at number 40 for Amel Bent & Soprano (1,311 sales).

Week Ending 28th April 2013 / Albums Chart

There is a new entry at the top of the French albums chart this week as the French rappers of IAM debut at number one with Arts Martiens (18,068 CDs and 6,604 downloads for a total of 24,672 copies sold). It’s their second chart-topper, Revoir Un Printemps was at the top for one week in September 2003. IAM‘s last studio album Saison 5 entered and peaked at number two in April 2007.

In fact, we have a brand new top five this week. Maxime Le Forestier enters at two with Le Cadeau (10,640 CDs and 839 downloads for a total of 11,479 copies sold). His last studio album, Restons Amants also reached number two in May 2008. Phoenix get their first top 10 album with Bankrupt! which debuts at number three (5,658 CDs and 4,214 downloads for a total of 9,872 copies sold). Their Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix peaked at 14 in May 2009.

Natasha St-Pier is up 197 places at four with Thérèse – Vivre D’Amour (8,866 CDs and 868 downloads for a total of 9,734 copies sold). On this album, she sings poems of Sainte Thérèse de Lisieux with other artists like Anggun, Les Stentors, Sonia Lacen, Elisa Tovati… Natasha St-Pier was number one on the albums chart for one week in January 2006 with Longueur D’Ondes.

#willpower debuts at five for will.i.am (9,452 sales), it’s his first top 10 album in France, he only peaked at number 89 in September 2007 with Songs About Girls. In their seventh week in the top 10, Les Enfoirés fall four places at six with La Boîte A Musique Des Enfoirés (7,640 sales / -21%), the album has sold 393,872 copies so far.

In his 13th week inside the ten best-sellers, Bruno Mars stays at seven with Unorthodox Jukebox (7,600 sales). It’s down five places at eight for Alex Hepburn with Together Alone in her second week on the chart (7,123 sales / -23%).

The compilation NRJ Spring Hits 2013 is new at nine with 7,100 sales. Frank Michael enters at number ten with Quelques Mots D’Amour (6,974 sales), his last album Romantique peaked at seven in November 2011. Les Couleurs De Ma Vie is Frank Michael‘s highest charting album, it reached number six in November 2006.

Seven albums drop out of the top 10 this week. Last week’s number one, Le Secret is down to number eleven for Lara Fabian in its second week on the chart (6,512 sales / -65%), the album has sold 25,280 copies so far. After four weeks in the top 10, Delta Machine falls six places at twelve for Depeche Mode. The musical Robin Des Bois is also down six at number 14 (5,354 sales / -18%). It’s down eleven places at 16 for Carla Bruni‘s Little French Songs in its fourth week on the chart. The compilation NRJ Hit Music Only 2013 falls nine places at number 18. It’s a bad week for Michael Bublé, his album To Be Loved is down 17 places at 21 in its second week on the chart (3,600 sales / -50%). After just one week inside the ten best-sellers, Axel Tony falls 16 at number 26 with Je Te Ressemble.

In her 32nd week on the chart, P!nk climbs eight places at 13 with The Truth About Love (5,500 sales / +77%). After an eight-week absence, L’Apogée is back inside the top 20 as it’s up seven at number 19 for Sexion D’Assaut.

DNA is new at number 27 for the 2011 winners of the UK X Factor, Little Mix (3,051 sales). In her 65th week inside the top 250, Lana Del Rey is up a massive 56 places at 35 with Born To Die, the album was number one for two weeks in February 2012.

Week Ending 21st April 2013 / Singles Chart

38,887 downloads sold. In three days. Now the facts : “Get Lucky” debuts at the top of the French singles chart for Daft Punk featuring Pharrell Williams with 38,887 downloads sold in only three days as the song was released on Friday 19th. In France, “Get Lucky” is the first song to sell more than 30,000 downloads in one week, Adele had sold 22,718 downloads of “Skyfall” in the week ending 4th November 2012. It’s the first number one for Pharrell Williams, and the second for Daft Punk as “One More Time” was at the top for one week in November 2000.

We really have an exciting singles chart this week as Alex Hepburn climbs five places at two with “Under” in her second week in the top 10 (11,600 sales / +147%), she is also new at three on the albums chart. Maude is new at number three with “Love Is What You Make Of It” (10,575 sales). Maude is a candidate on French TV show “Les Anges De La Télé-Réalité 5”. The last time you could find two brand new entries inside the top three was in the week ending 31st October 2010 when Rihanna entered at two with “Only Girl (In The World)” and René La Taupe was new at three with “Tu Parles Trop”, at that time only the physical sales were counted into the singles chart.

After four consecutive weeks at the top, Maître Gims is down to four with “J’Me Tire” in his sixth week inside the ten best-sellers (9,800 sales / -2%). There is no move at five for Robin Thicke featuring T.I. and Pharrell with “Blurred Lines” in their third week in the top 10 (9,700 sales / +52%). You can notice that Pharrell Williams has two songs in this week’s top five.

“Can’t Hold Us” slips three places at six for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis featuring Ray Dalton in its sixth week inside the top 10 (7,200 sales / +11%). “Just Give Me A Reason” is also down three at number seven for P!nk featuring Nate Ruess in its fifth week in the top 10 (6,800 sales / +6%). The Lumineers move down two at eight with “Ho Hey” in their seventh week inside the ten best-sellers.

In its 15th week in the top 10, “Thrift Shop” falls seven places at nine for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis featuring Wanz (5,700 sales / -17%), the song was at the top for eight consecutive weeks from January to March. “Locked Out Of Heaven” is back up a place at ten for Bruno Mars in its 21st week inside the top 10 (5,100 sales / +39%).

Three songs drop out of the top 10 this week. After four weeks inside the ten best-sellers, “When I Was Your Man” slips three at number 12 for Bruno Mars. It’s down five places at 13 for Rihanna featuring Mikky Ekko with “Stay”, the song was number two for four non-consecutive weeks in February and March. “Play Hard” falls four at number 14 for David Guetta featuring Ne-Yo & Akon after three weeks in the top 10.

In its first full week of sales, PSY climbs a massive 21 places at number eleven with “Gentleman” (4,700 sales / +172%). In its fourth week on the chart, “#thatPOWER” is up 12 at number 15 for will.i.am featuring Justin Bieber (3,100 sales), the song is will.i.am‘s fifth top 20 hit as a solo artist, and the fourth for Justin Bieber. will.i.am has two songs in this week’s top 20 as his “Scream & Shout” (featuring Britney Spears) is back up four places at 18 in its 22nd week inside the top 200.

“Let Her Go” climbs 17 places at 28 for Passenger in its sixth week on the chart (2,100 sales). Emeli Sandé is back up 15 at number 34 with “Read All About It (Pt. III)”, the song reached number seven in November and December. In her seventh week inside the top 200, Vanessa Paradis is up a massive 30 places at number 47 with “Love Song” which entered and peaked at 24 (1,200 sales).

Week Ending 21st April 2013 / Albums Chart

For the first time this century, Lara Fabian gets a number one album, indeed she enters straight to the top with Le Secret with 18,768 sales (16,691 physical copies + 2,077 downloads). In fact, it’s her third chart-topper as her Live spent four consecutive weeks at the top in February and March 1999, and her first “American” album Lara Fabian was number one for one week in December 1999. Her last album, Toutes Les Femmes En Moi debuted and peaked at three in May 2009 with 16,977 physical copies sold.

So after five consecutive weeks at the top, Les Enfoirés are down to two with La Boîte A Musique Des Enfoirés which has sold 386,232 copies so far (9,701 sales / -39%). There is another big new entry this week as Alex Hepburn is new at number three with her debut album Together Alone (9,272 sales).

Michael Bublé‘s new album To Be Loved debuts at four with 7,221 sales, it’s his third top 10 album, after Call Me Irresponsible (number four in August 2007) and Crazy Love (number five in January 2010). His last album Christmas reached number 29 in December 2011. In her third week in the top 10, Carla Bruni is down three places at five with Little French Songs (6,700 sales / -35%).

Delta Machine slips two at number six for Depeche Mode in its fourth week inside the ten best-sellers (6,700 sales / -24%). There is no change at seven for Bruno Mars with Unorthodox Jukebox in his 12th week in the top 10. It’s down five places at eight for the musical Robin Des Bois in its fourth week inside the top 10 (6,521 sales / -32%).

The compilation NRJ Hit Music Only 2013 falls three at nine in its fourth week in the top 10. Four albums drop out of the top 10 this week. In his third week on the chart, Jacques Higelin falls six at number eleven with Beau Repaire (5,000 sales / -36%). The compilation Planète Rap 2013 slips four places at 14 in its second week inside the top 250. 4ème Dimension is down nine at number 17 for Psy 4 De La Rime in its third week on the chart. After three weeks inside the top ten, Vigon Bamy Jay also falls nine places at 18 with Les Soul Men.

Alex Beaupain gets his first top 20 album as Après Moi Le Déluge debuts at number 12 (4,237 sales). In his 12th week on the chart, Asaf Avidan climbs four places at 13 with Different Pulses. P!nk is up 13 at number 21 with The Truth About Love in her 31st week inside the top 250 (3,100 sales / +29%), the album entered and peaked at four in September.

Save Rock And Roll is new at 25 for Fall Out Boy (2,700 sales), they reached number 17 in August 2007 with Infinity On High. Lisa Angell gets her first top 30 album with Des Mots… which enters at number 30, her debut album Les Divines was at 31 in November 2011.

Indicud is a new entry at 57 for Kid Cudi (1,500 sales), his Man On The Moon : The End Of Day is still his highest charting album, reaching number 56 in September 2009. Free The Universe is also new at 60 for Major Lazer.

It’s a fourth consecutive week at the top of the French singles chart for Maître Gims with “J’Me Tire” in his fifth week in the top 10 (10,000 sales / +6%). There is no change at two for the former number one, “Thrift Shop” by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis featuring Wanz in its 14th week in the top 10 (6,900 sales / -14%). Macklemore & Ryan Lewis‘ other song “Can’t Hold Us” (featuring Ray Dalton) stays at number three in its fifth week inside the ten best-sellers (6,500 sales / +3%).

We have a static top four as “Just Give Me A Reason” doesn’t move at four for P!nk featuring Nate Ruess in its fourth week in the top 10 (6,400 sales / +5%). “Blurred Lines” is up three places at number five for Robin Thicke featuring T.I. and Pharrell in its second week inside the top 10, none of them had had a top five hit before (6,400 sales / +42%). In their sixth week in the top 10, The Lumineers stay at six with “Ho Hey” (5,500 sales / +17%).

Alex Hepburn gets her first top ten hit as “Under” climbs four at number seven in its 14th week on the chart (4,700 sales). After eight consecutive weeks inside the top five, “Stay” is down three at number eight for Rihanna featuring Mikky Ekko (4,677 sales / -18%). Bruno Mars is back up a place at nine with “When I Was Your Man” in his fourth week in the top 10 (4,238 sales / +7%). In its third week inside the ten best-sellers, “Play Hard” falls three places at ten for David Guetta featuring Ne-Yo & Akon.

One song drops out of the top 10 this week. Bruno Mars slips two at number eleven with “Locked Out Of Heaven” which spent twenty weeks in the top 10 and reached number three in February (3,666 sales / -13%).

In their 43rd week on the chart, Asaf Avidan & The Mojos are back up eight places at 14 with “One Day / Reckoning Song” which was at number two in February. “She Makes Me Go” is up two at number 16 for Arash featuring Sean Paul in its seventh week in the top 200.

“Roadgame” climbs 12 places at 17 for Kavinsky in its seventh week on the chart, the song entered and peaked at number 12 (2,700 sales). In its 16th week inside the top 200, “Sweet Nothing” is up nine at number 18 for Calvin Harris featuring Florence Welch (2,600 sales), it’s her first top 20 hit (Florence + The Machine has never reached the top 20 so far), and the third for Calvin Harris after “We Found Love” (as a featured artist with Rihanna, number one for five weeks in October and November 2011) and “Feel So Close” (number eleven in January and February).

“Tourner La Page” is Zaho‘s third top 20 hit as it climbs six places at 19 in its 12th week in the top 200 (2,497 sales / +4%), “C’Est Chelou” was at two in April 2008, and “La Roue Tourne” (featuring Tunisiano) reached number 15 in August 2008. PSY gets the highest new entry of the week at number 32 with “Gentleman” (1,729 sales), his “Gangnam Style” was number one for six weeks from October to January.

Week Ending 14th April 2013 / Albums Chart

It’s a rather calm week at the summit of the albums chart as Les Enfoirés are number one for a fifth consecutive week with La Boîte A Musique Des Enfoirés (15,832 sales / -39%), the last time they spend that many weeks at the top was in March and April 2009 when Les Enfoirés Font Leur Cinéma reigned for six consecutive weeks. In 30 days, La Boîte A Musique Des Enfoirés has sold 376,531 copies.

There is also no change at two for Carla Bruni with her Little French Songs in her second week on the chart (10,264 sales / -55%), the album has sold 32,988 copies so far. In its third week inside the top 10, the musical Robin Des Bois is back up two places at number three (9,535 sales / -34%).

Delta Machine doesn’t move at four for Depeche Mode in its third week in the top 10 (8,800 sales / -43%). In his second week on the chart, Jacques Higelin is up a place at number five with Beau Repaire (7,800 sales / -22%). It’s also up one at six for the compilation NRJ Hit Music Only 2013 in its third week in the ten best-sellers (7,400 sales / -21%).

Bruno Mars is back up five places at seven with Unorthodox Jukebox in his 11th week inside the top 10 (6,862 sales / +6%). 4ème Dimension falls five at number eight for Psy 4 De La Rime in its second week on the chart (6,000 sales / -68%). Vigon Bamy Jay climb one place at nine with Les Soul Men in their third week in the top 10 (5,300 sales / -23%). The highest new entry of the week is at ten with the compilation Planète Rap 2013 (5,200 sales).

Two albums drop out of the top 10 this week. They both entered and peaked at number two. David Bowie falls four places at 12 with The Next Day in his fifth week on the chart. It’s down four at number 13 for Woodkid with The Golden Age in his fourth week inside the top 250.

Florent Mothe is new at number 14 with his debut album Rock In Chair (4,024 sales), he sang in the musical Mozart, L’Opéra Rock which was number two for five non-consecutive weeks from October 2009 to January 2010. The compilation Fun Club 2013 debuts at 16. In their 12th week on the chart, The Lumineers enter the top 20 as their eponymous album climbs a massive 22 places at number 19 (3,400 sales).

After a three-week absence, Kavinsky‘s Outrun is back inside the top 20 as it’s up eight at number 20, the album entered and peaked at two six weeks ago. Puggy enter at number 26 with To Win The World (2,700 sales), Puggy‘s last album Something You Might Like reached number 27 in August 2010.

In her third week in the top 250, Madeleine Peyroux is up 24 at number 28 with The Blue Room, it’s her fourth top 30 album, Half The Perfect World was number 15 in September 2006. Renaud Capuçon gets his first top 30 album as Le Violon Roi is up a massive 75 places at 29. Psycho Tropical Berlin enters at number 33 for La Femme (2,400 sales). Number one in the UK and the US, Paramore are new at 42 with their eponymous album (2,100 sales), their last one Brand New Eyes reached number 36 in October 2009.

Week Ending 7th April 2013 / Singles Chart

In its fourth week in the top 10, “J’Me Tire” is at the top of the French singles chart for a third consecutive week for Maître Gims (9,400 sales / -4%), but there is a real threat from Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. Indeed they have two songs inside the top three ! The last time that feat happened was during the week ending 14th November 2010 when… René La Taupe spent his 11th (of 13) week at number one with “Mignon Mignon” and was at three with “Tu Parles Trop”. So “Thrift Shop” (featuring Wanz) is still at two in its 13th week inside the top 10 (8,000 sales / -9%), and “Can’t Hold Us” (featuring Ray Dalton) climbs two places at three in its fourth week in the top 10 (6,300 sales / +19%).

There is no move at four for P!nk featuring Nate Ruess with “Just Give Me A Reason” in their third week inside the ten best-sellers (6,100 sales / +11%). “Stay” is down two at number five for Rihanna featuring Mikky Ekko in its tenth week in the top 10 (5,723 sales / -1%). The Lumineers are back up two places at six with “Ho Hey” in their fifth week inside the top 10 (4,700 sales / +7%). In its second week in the top 10, “Play Hard” is still at seven for David Guetta featuring Ne-Yo & Akon.

“Blurred Lines” is up a massive 17 places at eight for Robin Thicke featuring T.I. and Pharrell in its second week on the chart (4,500 sales). It’s the first top 10 hit for Robin Thicke and Pharrell, and the second for T.I. after “My Love” (as a featured artist with Justin Timberlake) which reached number ten in in December 2006.

Bruno Mars falls three at number nine with “Locked Out Of Heaven” in his 20th week inside the top 10 (4,233 sales / -7%) whereas his “When I Was Your Man” slips one place at ten in its third week in the ten best-sellers (3,964 sales / +7%).

One song drops out of the top 10 this week. “Attention Au Départ” is down six places at 16 for Les Enfoirés, the song spent three weeks in the top 10 and reached number five two weeks ago.

“Under” climbs 19 at number eleven for Alex Hepburn in its 13th week in the top 200. In its 31st week on the chart, “Happy” is up three places at 13 for C2C featuring Derek Martin, C2C was at the top of the singles chart for one week in September 2012 with “Down The Road”.

“I Knew You Were Trouble.” is up five at number 23 for Taylor Swift in its 16th week inside the top 200 (2,446 sales / +5%), the song peaked at 19 three weeks ago. It’s a bad week for Christophe Maé, his “Tombé Sous Le Charme” falls a massive 26 places at 40 in its third week on the chart (1,300 sales / -58%).

Carla Bruni gets her first top 50 hit as “Le Pingouin” enters at number 42 (1,300 sales). “Fine China” is new at 43 for Chris Brown (1,300 sales). In its fourth week in the top 200, “Let Her Go” climbs ten places at 46 for Passenger. Bridgit Mendler is up eleven at number 49 with “Ready Or Not” in her fifth week on the chart. James Arthur climbs a massive 36 places at number 53 with “Impossible” in his 10th week in the top 200 (1,000 sales). James Arthur won the UK X Factor last December.

Week Ending 7th April 2013 / Albums Chart

There is no move at the top of the French albums chart as Les Enfoirés spend their fourth consecutive week at number one with La Boîte A Musique Des Enfoirés (26,031 sales / -61%). Last year, Le Bal Des Enfoirés 2012 was at the top for four weeks, can the new album make it better ? Place your bets. In 23 days, La Boîte A Musique Des Enfoirés has sold 360,699 copies.

Little French Songs is this week’s highest new entry at two for Carla Bruni. The album has sold 18,932 CDs and 3,792 downloads for a total of 22,724 copies. Her three albums all reached number one, Quelqu’Un M’A Dit for three weeks in January and February 2003, No Promises for one week in January 2007, and Comme Si De Rien N’Etait for one week in July 2008.

Psy 4 De La Rime get their fourth top 10 album with a new entry at number three with 4ème Dimension (18,999 sales). Their last album Les Cités D’Or opened at the top in May 2008 with 23,273 CDs sold. Their other top 10 albums were Block Party (number seven in March 2002) and Enfants De La Lune (number three in October 2005).

Delta Machine slips two places at four for Depeche Mode in its second week on the chart (15,500 sales / -70%). It’s also down two at number five for the musical Robin Des Bois in its second week inside the top ten (14,500 sales / -61%).

Beau Repaire debuts at six for Jacques Higelin (9,999 sales), the last time he reached the top 10 was in November 2006 when Amor Doloroso peaked at number seven. In its second week on the chart, the compilation NRJ Hit Music Only 2013 slips one place at seven (9,400 sales / -12%).

David Bowie falls four at number eight with The Next Day in his fourth week in the top 10 (8,400 sales / -32%). The Golden Age is down four places at nine for Woodkid in its third week inside the ten best sellers (7,300 sales / -35%). In its second week on the chart, Les Soul Men slips three at number ten for Vigon Bamy Jay (6,900 sales / -27%).

Three albums drop out of the top 10 this week. Bruno Mars is down two at number 12 with Unorthodox Jukebox in his 17th week in the top 250 (6,474 sales / -13%). Zazie falls five places at 13 with Cyclo (5,272 sales / -38%), the album has only spent two weeks in the top 10 so far, but it’s not so surprising as her last album Za7ie was inside the ten best sellers for three weeks only (1-4-10) in September and October 2010. After 19 consecutive weeks in the top 10, Génération Goldman is down five places at number 14.

Patrick Sébastien enters at 15 with A L’Attaque, it’s his first top 20 album since October 2008 when Ah… Si Tu Pouvais Fermer Ta Gueule… reached number 20. Opéra Rouge is back up a massive 30 places at 18 for Vincent Niclo & Les Choeurs De L’Armée Rouge in its 29th week on the chart, the album peaked at number four last September.

It’s a bad week for some acts. Old Sock is down 27 at number 48 for Eric Clapton, The Strokes fall 40 places at 57 with Comedown Machine (1,600 sales / -66%), and Lil Wayne‘s I Am Not A Human Being II is down 34 at number 58. Alizée falls a massive 54 places at number 79 with 5 in her third week on the chart (1,096 sales / -70%), 5 has sold 4,982 copies so far.

Week Ending 31st March 2013 / Singles Chart

In this week’s chart, we have a static top three as Maître Gims spends a second week at the top of the French singles chart with “J’Me Tire” in his third week in the top 10 (9,800 sales / -13%). “Thrift Shop” stays at two for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis featuring Wanz in its 12th week inside the top 10 (8,800 sales / +2%). There is no change at number three for Rihanna featuring Mikky Ekko with “Stay” in their ninth week in the ten best-sellers (5,793 sales / -2%) .

But there are new contenders for the top spot, indeed “Just Give Me A Reason” climbs three places at four for P!nk featuring Nate Ruess in its second week in the top 10 (5,500 sales / +28%). “Just Give Me A Reason” is the first top five hit for Nate Ruess, he was at seven in October 2012 with “We Are Young” as a member of fun.. For P!nk, the song is her third top five hit, I should even write her third number four hit as both “Get The Party Started” (in January 2005) and “So What” (in December 2008) reached that position. It’s also a good week for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis featuring Ray Dalton, their song “Can’t Hold Us” is up three at number five in their third week in the top 10 (5,300 sales / +23%). So with “Thrift Shop”, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have two songs inside the top five, Carly Rae Jepsen was the last act to accomplish that feat, during the week ending 23rd September 2012 her “Call Me Maybe” was at two and you could find “Good Time” with Owl City at four.

It’s down two places at six for Bruno Mars with “Locked Out Of Heaven” in his 19th week inside the top 10 (4,544 sales / -21%). “Play Hard” climbs a massive eleven at number seven for David Guetta featuring Ne-Yo & Akon in its seventh week on the chart (4,500 sales / +41%). For David Guetta, the song is his 16th top 10 hit, it’s only the second for Ne-Yo, he reached number two in June and July 2011 with “Give Me Everything” as a featured artist with Pitbull, Afrojack & Nayer. “Play Hard” is Akon‘s 11th top 10 hit but the last one was in November 2010 when “Push Push” as a featured artist with Kat DeLuna was at number nine.

The Lumineers slip two places at eight with “Ho Hey” in their fourth week in the ten best-sellers (4,400 sales / -2%). “When I Was Your Man” is up one at nine for Bruno Mars in its second week inside the top ten (3,709 sales / -5%). In their third week in the top 10, Les Enfoirés fall five at number ten with “Attention Au Départ” (3,700 sales / -29%).

One song drops out of the top ten this week. It’s down two places at eleven for Youssoupha featuring Ayna with “On Se Connaît”, the song has spent four weeks inside the ten best-sellers so far.

Some old songs are back up the singles chart, Rihanna‘s “Diamonds” climbs six places at 13 in its 27th week in the top 200 (3,200 sales / +3%), “Gangnam Style” is up eleven at number 18 for PSY in its 30th week on the chart.

In its first full week of release, “Tombé Sous Le Charme” stays at 14 for Christophe Maé (3,100 sales / -9%). “Happy” is up five places at 16 for C2C featuring Derek Martin in its 30th week on the chart. In his 15th week inside the top 200, Brice Conrad climbs three at number 17 with “Oh La”. M. Pokora is up a massive 26 places at 22 with “Le Jour Qui Se Rêve” which is taken from the musical Robin Des Bois which is new at number three on this week’s albums chart (2,600 sales).

There are two new entries inside the top thirty. Thanks to its hot video, “Blurred Lines” debuts at number 25 for Robin Thicke featuring T.I. + Pharrell (2,400 sales), it’s only his second appearance in the top 200, “Lost Without U” reached number 54 in July 2007. “#thatPOWER” is new at 29 for will.i.am featuring Justin Bieber (2,300 sales), the song is taken from will.i.am‘s new album #willpower which will be released on 22nd April.

Week Ending 31st March 2013 / Albums Chart

Les Enfoirés are at the top of the French albums chart for the third consecutive week with La Boîte A Musique Des Enfoirés (66,188 sales / -48%). The good news is that the album has sold 334,668 copies in 16 days, last year Le Bal Des Enfoirés 2012 had sold 296,731 during the same period, and Dans L’Oeil Des Enfoirés 326,487 in 2011.

Delta Machine is the highest new entry of the week at number two for Depeche Mode (51,292 sales). Their last studio album Sounds Of The Universe was also at two in April and May 2009. Depeche Mode had two number one albums in the 2000s, with Exciter (for one week in May 2001), and Playing The Angel (it was at the top during the week ending 22nd October 2005 as a new entry with 42,271 CDs sold).

The musical Robin Des Bois (with M. Pokora) will only open on 26th September at the Palais Des Congrès in Paris, but the album is new at number three with a great total of 37,147 copies sold. It’s also a very good week for David Bowie as The Next Day is back up one place at four (12,434 sales / -23%), the album has sold 78,855 copies in three weeks.

It’s down three at number five for Woodkid‘s The Golden Age in its second week on the chart (11,199 sales / -59%). The compilation NRJ Hit Music Only 2013 enters at six (10,700 sales). Vigon Bamy Jay are new at number seven with Les Soul Men (9,400 sales). It’s the second top 10 album for Jay as he was a member of Poetic Lover, their Amants Poétiques was number eight… in December 1997 and January 1998.

In her second week on the chart, Zazie falls five places at eight with Cyclo (8,528 sales / -58%). It’s down one at number nine for Génération Goldman in its 19th week inside the top 10 (7,500 sales / +17%). Bruno Mars slips three places at ten with Unorthodox Jukebox in his tenth week in the ten best-sellers (7,424 sales / +2%).

Four albums drop out of the top 10 this week. A La Poursuite Du Bonheur Tour – Live A Bercy is down one place at eleven for M. Pokora in its fourth week in the top 250. Justin Timberlake falls six at 12 with The 20/20 Experience in his second week on the chart (6,173 sales / -62%). Rihanna‘s Unapologetic slips four at number 13 after ten weeks spent in the top 10 so far (5,425 sales / +5%). It’s down ten places at 14 for Saez with Miami in his second week inside the top 250 (5,300 sales / -72%).

Mickaël Miro debuts at 16 with Le Temps Des Sourires (4,840 sales), his debut album Juste Comme Ça opened (and peaked) at number nine in May 2011 with 6,849 copies sold. Comedown Machine is new at 17 for The Strokes (4,700 sales), their highest charting album was their last, Angles reached number six in March 2011. Jean-Louis Murat is new at number 18 with Toboggan (4,700 sales), he was at 12 in October 2011 with his last album Grand Lièvre.

Old Sock enters at number 21 for Eric Clapton (4,100 sales), he reached number five in March 1998 with Pilgrim. I Am Not A Human Being II is new at 24 for Lil Wayne (3,700 sales), the first one was only at number 167 in October 2010. Maiden England ’88 debuts at 26 for Iron Maiden, The Final Frontier was at the top of the albums chart for one week in August 2010.

In its first full week of release (the album debuted at number 226 with 283 sales last week), Alizée‘s 5 moves up 201 places at 25 (3,603 sales). Her last album Une Enfant Du Siècle entered and peaked at number 24 with 3,523 sales in April 2010. Alizée was at the top of the albums chart for one week in February 2001 with her debut album Gourmandises.
