Muse‘s “The 2nd Law” spends a third consecutive week at the top of the French albums chart (19227 sales, -32%), the album has sold 137434 copies so far. It’s also a very good week for Sexion D’Assaut, indeed “L’Apogée” is up four places at number two in its 31st week in the top 10 (9077 sales, +35%). We can explain this climb by the fact that you could find the album at 4.99 euros on iTunes last week (4720 digital sales).
There is no move at number three for Garou‘s “Rhythm And Blues” in its fourth week in the top 10 (7666 sales, +3%). In its second week on the chart, “NRJ Total Hits 2012 Vol. 2” falls two places at four (7061 sales, -36%). C2C‘s “Tetra” is down one place at number five (5462 sales, -23%), it has sold 70478 copies in its seven weeks in the top 10.
“Opéra Rouge” is also down one at number six for Vincent Niclo & Les Choeurs De L’Armée Rouge in its fourth week in the top 10 (5125 sales, -26%). A compilation is the highest new entry in this week’s chart, “Starfloor 2013” is new at number seven (5044 sales).
In her third week in the top 10, Diana Krall falls one place at number eight with “Glad Rag Doll” (4905 sales, -9%), the album has sold 19708 copies so far. Lou Doillon‘s “Places” is down one at nine in its seventh week in the top 10. After an 11-week absence, Birdy is back in the top 10, as “Birdy” is up six places at number ten in its 11th week in the top 10 (3961 sales).
Two albums drop out of the top 10 this week. Adele‘s “21” is down one at number 11, the album has sold around 1315000 copies in its 91 weeks on the chart. After five weeks in the top 10, Marc Lavoine falls three places at 12 with “Je Descends Du Singe”.
There is a new entry at 16 for Raggasonic with “Raggasonic 3”. After having been deleted for three weeks, Baptiste Giabiconi‘s “Oxygen” is a re-entry at number 21 (2577 sales), as the album is now available in the shops. “Monster” enters at 26 for Kiss who had reached number 31 with “Sonic Boom” in October 2009.
“The Haunted Man” is new at number 31 and is also the first top 50 album for Bat For Lashes (1924 sales), “Two Suns” was number 56 in April 2009. Véronique Jannot enters the albums chart at 38 with “Tout Doux” (1660 sales). fun.‘s “Some Nights” gets its peak position this week, as it’s up a massive 84 places at number 42 in its 14th week in the top 200.
Placido Domingo enters at 51 with “Songs”, there is also a new entry at number 52 for Sophie Hunger with “The Danger Of Light” (1245 sales). Donald Fagen is new at 85 with “Sunken Codos”, he reached number 145 in March 2006 with “Morph The Cat”.
