Christophe Maé gets his fifth number one album (out of five releases) as Je Veux Du Bonheur debuts at the top of the chart with 103,680 sales. His last studio album On Trace La Route also entered at number one in the week ending 28th March 2010 with 128,714 CDs sold. So Christophe Maé‘s number one albums were Mon Paradis (for two weeks in December 2007), a live album called Comme A La Maison (for two weeks in October and November 2008), On Trace La Route (for three weeks in March and April 2010), and another live album named On Trace La Route – Le Live (for one week in October 2011).
After three consecutive weeks at the top, Daft Punk‘s Random Access Memories is down to number two (36,994 sales / +4%), the album has sold 317,085 copies in its four weeks on the chart. It’s a very good week for Les Stentors, their Une Histoire De France is back up two places at three in its fourth week in the top 10 (25,896 sales / +89%), around 83,500 copies of the album have been sold so far.
There is no change at four for Maître Gims with Subliminal (19,063 sales / -13%) which has sold around 134,600 copies in its four weeks inside the ten best-sellers. In its fifth week in the top 10, Recto Verso moves back up one at number five for Zaz (15,611 sales / +29%), it has sold around 129,600 copies so far.
Johnny Hallyday‘s On Stage is down three places at six (15,420 sales / -35%), 39,096 copies of the live album have been sold in its two weeks on the chart. Jenifer falls five at number seven with Ma Déclaration in her second week in the top 10 (12,338 sales / -55%), but it’s not that bad as her two last albums (Appelle-Moi Jen and L’Amour & Moi) only spent one week inside the ten best-sellers. Ma Déclaration has sold 39,651 copies so far.
As he celebrated his 70th birthday on Saturday with a concert at Paris-Bercy which was broadcasted on French TV channel TF1, Johnny Hallyday is new at eight with a four CD compilation called 70ème Anniversaire (9,645 sales). In its second week in the top 10, the compilation NRJ Hit List 2013 slips two at number nine (8,520 sales / +9%). Unorthodox Jukebox stays at ten for Bruno Mars in its 19th week inside the ten best-sellers (8,209 sales / +21%).
Two albums drop out of the top 10 this week. After four weeks in the top 10, Vanessa Paradis is down two places at eleven with Love Songs (6,492 sales / -7%), her last studio album Divinidylle spent twenty weeks inside the ten best-sellers from September 2007 to March 2008. …Like Clockwork is down a massive 19 places at number 27 for Queens Of The Stone Age in its second week on the chart.
In their 12th week in the top 250, Vigon Bamy Jay climb eleven at number twelve with Les Soul Men (6,464 sales / +149%). Niro gets his first top 20 album as Rééducation debuts at 13 (6,413 sales), he reached number 53 with Paraplégique in June 2012. 13 is new at number 15 for Black Sabbath (5,941 sales), Reunion was their last charting album, it peaked at 65 in October 1998.
Joyce Jonathan gets her second top 30 album as Caractère enters at 23 with 3,718 sales. Her debut album Sur Mes Gardes was number 17 in October 2010. More Light is new at number 66 for Primal Scream, it’s their highest charting album in France, Riot City Blues peaked at 74 in June 2006.
Beady Eye debut at a disappointing number 101 with BE, their Different Gear, Still Speeding peaked at 32 in March 2011. But it’s even worse for KT Tunstall, her Invisible Empire // Crescent Moon only enters at number 240, she reached number seven in August 2005 with Eye To The Telescope.
