Calogero gets his fourth Number One album in France, as Les Feux D’Artifice is new at the top with 51,500 copies sold. His chart-toppers were 3 (for two weeks in April and August 2004), Live 1.0 (for two consecutive weeks in August and September 2005), and L’Embellie (for two weeks in August and May 2009). He was last on the album chart as a member of Circus, their eponymous LP reached number eleven in November 2012.
Violetta is an Argentinian drama soap, and Gira Mi Cancion is the second top 10 LP taken from it as it debuts at number two (11,400 sales). En Vivo peaked at four in January. In her 26th week inside the top 10, Indila moves up one place at three with Mini World (11,200 sales / +19%). Stromae slips one at number four with Racine Carrée in his 51st week inside the ten best-sellers (10,200 sales / +7%).
Keen’V falls three places at five with Saltimbanque in his fourth week in the top 10 (9,300 sales / -13%). La Bande A Renaud stays at number six in its 11th week inside the top 10 (7,600 sales / -5%). In its fifth week inside the ten best-selling albums, Fréro Delavega‘s eponymous LP is down two places at seven (7,400 sales / -12%). Last week’s Number One, the compilation NRJ Extravadance 2014 Summer Edition moves down to eight in its third week in the top 10 (7,100 sales / -36%).
As there was a big TV show on TF1 on 16th August about the 10th anniversary of his win at the Star Academy, Grégory Lemarchal re-enters at number nine with Cinq Ans (6,700 sales). It’s his fourth top 10 album, after Je Deviens Moi (Number One for one week in April 2005), Olympia 06 (number four in May 2007), and La Voix D’Un Ange (Number One for four consecutive weeks in June and July 2007). Grégory Lemarchal sadly passed away on 30th April 2007, he was only 23. Coldplay‘s Ghost Stories is a non-mover at number ten in its 14th week inside the top 10 (5,600 sales / =).
Three albums drop out of the top 10 this week. In its sixth week on the chart, the compilation NRJ Party Hits 2014 is down four places at eleven. After 32 weeks inside the ten best-sellers (so far), Florent Pagny falls five at number 13 with Vieillir Avec Toi. The compilation Planète Rap 2014 Vol. 2 moves down six places at 15 in its third week inside the top 250.
Another compilation, Playlist Hits Eté 2014 enters at number twelve (5,400 sales). In its 12th week on the chart, Chaleur Humaine is back up two places at 21 for Christine And The Queens. The LP debuted and peaked at number six in June. Lana Del Rey‘s Ultraviolence jumps from 29 to number 25 in its tenth week inside the 250 best-sellers.
In their fourth week on the chart, Eric Clapton & Friends climb 13 places at 26 with The Breeze – An Appreciation Of JJ Cale. Wiz Khalifa gets his first top 40 album in France, as Blacc Hollywood is new at number 31 (2,100 sales). Rolling Papers peaked at 60 in April 2011, and O.N.I.F.C. reached number 65 in December 2012.
Patrick Fiori moves up a massive 27 places at 43 with Choisir in his 15th week inside the top 250. Invincible Friends jumps from 68 to number 44 for Lilly Wood & The Prick in its 76th week on the chart, the LP peaked at 40 in February 2011 (!). In his sixth week in the top 250, Sam Smith is back up 15 places at 45 with In The Lonely Hour. Blind Rage is Accept‘s first top 50 album in France, as it debuts at number 48. Blood Of The Nations was number 72 in September 2010.
