In his seventh week inside the ten best-sellers, Stromae spends a sixth non-consecutive week at the top of the French albums chart with Racine Carrée (48,022 sales / -12%). But this week’s big news is the new entry at two of the Danish singer / songwriter Agnes Obel with Aventine (20,054 sales). It’s her second top 10 album, after Philharmonics which reached number eight in February 2011.
Rohff slips a place at three with P.D.R.G. (Pouvoir – Danger – Respect & Game) in his second week on the chart (10,234 sales / -73%). There is no change at number four for Birdy with Fire Within in her second week inside the top ten (9,405 sales / -21%).
In his second week on the chart, Vincent Niclo moves down two places at five with Luis (9,384 sales / -34%). The compilation NRJ 200% Hits 2013 Vol. 2 slips one at number six in its third week inside the ten best-sellers (8,900 sales). Génération Goldman Vol. 2 stays at seven in its sixth week in the top 10 (7,862 sales / -16%).
The musical Robin Des Bois spends a seventh week inside the top 10 as it’s up seven places at eight (6,660 sales / +45%). In her fifth week inside the ten best-sellers, Tal doesn’t move at number nine with A L’Infini (6,433 sales / -10%). Les Roses De Mon Silence falls four places at ten for Grégoire in its third week in the top 10 (5,912 sales / -39%).
Two albums drop out of the top 10 this week. After two weeks inside the ten best-sellers, Loud Like Love moves down seven places at 15 for Placebo. Last week’s new entry at ten, Sting‘s The Last Ship falls 13 at number 23.
Gaëtan Roussel gets his second solo top 20 album as Orpailleur is new at eleven with 5,768 copies sold. Ginger debuted and peaked at number seven in March 2010. He got two Number One albums as the singer of Louise Attaque with Louise Attaque (for ten weeks from May to August 1998), and Comme On A Dit (for five weeks in January and February 2000).
Justin Timberlake debuts at twelve with The 20/20 Experience – 2 Of 2 (5,490 sales). The 20/20 Experience entered and peaked at number six in March with 16,067 copies sold. The new LP is Justin Timberlake‘s third top 20 album in France, FutureSex / LoveSounds was number five in September 2006.
Seine Zoo is a new entry at number 13 for S-Crew. Moby gets a seventh top 20 album as Innocents enters at 18 (4,600 sales), two of them were chart-toppers, Play (for ten weeks from June to September 2000), and 18 (for two weeks in May 2002). French rapper Fababy has his first top 20 album with La Force Du Nombre which debuts at number 19 (3,889 sales).
If You Wait is back up six places at 24 for London Grammar in its fourth week on the chart. Violetta – Hoy Somos Más is new at number 26, Violetta – L’Album De La Saison 1 peaked at 15 in July, “Violetta” is an Argentinian TV series. HollySiz debuts at number 30 with My Name Is (3,000 sales), it’s the debut album for the French actress Cécile Cassel.
In his second week on the chart, Daniel Darc climbs a massive 169 places at 41 with Chapelle Sixteen. He sadly passed away this year on 28th February, he was 53. He reached number 17 in January 2008 with Amours Suprêmes.
