There is no surprise as Stromae spends a seventh non-consecutive week at Number One with Racine Carrée in his eighth week in the top 10 (43,101 sales / -10%). This week’s highest new entry is at two with Hélène Segara Avec Joe Dassin with Et Si Tu N’Existais Pas (10,608 sales). In this album Hélène Segara sings Joe Dassin‘s songs with the help of the late singer’s voice. He was very popular in the 1960s and 1970s with songs like “Les Champs-Elysées”, “L’Amérique”, or “L’Eté Indien”. He passed away on 20th August 1980, he was only 41. Hélène Segara had two Number One albums, with Humaine (for two weeks in March 2003), and Quand L’Eternité… (for one week in September 2006). Her last LP Parmi La Foule peaked at nine in April 2011.
In her second week on the chart, Agnes Obel slips one place at three with Aventine (9,600 sales / -52%). The compilation NRJ 200% Hits 2013 Vol. 2 is up two at number four in its fourth week in the top 10 (8,200 sales / -8%). There is no change at five for Vincent Niclo with Luis in his third week inside the ten best-sellers (7,000 sales / -25%).
Unorthodox Jukebox spends a 33rd week inside the top 10 as it moves back up eight places at six for Bruno Mars (6,400 sales). Birdy falls three at number seven with Fire Within in her third week in the top 10 (6,400 sales / -32%). In its seventh week inside the ten best-sellers, Génération Goldman Vol. 2 slips one place at eight (6,300 sales / -20%).
Miley Cyrus is new at number nine with Bangerz (6,200 sales). The new LP is her first top 10 album and her third top 30, after Breakout (number 30 in November 2008), and Can’t Be Tamed (number 13 in June 2010). In its third week inside the top 10, P.D.R.G. (Pouvoir – Danger – Respect & Game) falls seven places at ten for Rohff (5,600 sales / -45%).
Three albums drop out of the top 10 this week. In her sixth week on the chart, Tal is down three at number twelve with A L’Infini (5,100 sales / -21%). The musical Robin Des Bois falls nine places at 17 in its 29th week in the top 250. After just three weeks inside the ten best-sellers, Les Roses De Mon Silence moves down nine at number 19 for Grégoire. His Toi + Moi had spent 44 weeks in the top 10, and Le Même Soleil eight.
Ticket To The World debuts at number eleven for Ayo (5,300 sales). She got three top 10 albums, Joyful peaked at six in July and August 2006, Gravity At Last was Number One for one week in October 2008, and Billie-Eve reached number eight in March 2011.
Aldebert enters at 13 with Enfantillages 2 (4,900 sales). In this new LP, he has worked with artists like Alizée, Bénabar, and Louis Chédid among others. The first volume of Enfantillages reached number 33 in November 2008, Les Paradis Disponibles is his highest-charting album, peaking at seven in October 2006.
In its second week on the chart, Violetta – Hoy Somos Más climbs 12 places at 14 (4,700 sales). Christophe Maé is up six at number 15 with Je Veux Du Bonheur in his 18th week inside the top 250 (4,600 sales), the album was at the top for three consecutive weeks in June and July.
Korn enter at number 26 with The Paradigm Shift (2,900 sales), they got two top 10 albums in the 21st century, with Untouchables (number six in June 2002), and Untitled (number eight in August 2007). Robertissimo debuts at 29 for Roberto Alagna, his Sicilien reached number two in November and December 2008 and in January 2009.
One Breath climbs a massive 186 places at 33 for Anna Calvi in its second week inside the top 250, her eponymous debut album was number 17 in January 2011. Soan gets a second top 40 album as Sens Interdits is new at number 35 (2,300 sales), Sous Les Yeux De Sophie peaked at 22 in March 2012. It’s a very bad second week for Justin Timberlake‘s The 20/20 Experience – 2 Of 2, the album falls 38 places at number 50 (1,700 sales / -69%).
