It’s a sixth consecutive week at the top of the French singles chart for Stromae‘s “Formidable” in its 13th week inside the top 10 (7,700 sales / -23%). Stromae has now spent ten weeks at Number One in 2013 if you add the four-week reign of “Papaoutai” in July and August. In his fifth week inside the ten best-sellers, Dutch DJ Bakermat moves up one place at two with “Vandaag” (7,600 sales / -1%).
As you can find physical copies in some shops, “Monkey Me” re-enters at three and gives Mylène Farmer her 45th top 10 hit (7,300 sales), the first one was… in October 1986 when “Libertine” peaked at number ten. “Animals” falls two places at four for Martin Garrix in its ninth week in the top 10 (7,100 sales / -14%).
Avicii slips one at number five with “Wake Me Up !” in his 15th week inside the ten best-sellers (6,800 sales / -6%). There is no change at six for Vitaa featuring Maître Gims, their “Game Over” spends a second week in the top 10 (6,300 sales / +11%). Stromae moves down two places at seven with “Papaoutai” in his 18th week inside the top 10 (5,400 sales / -17%).
“La La La” stays at number eight for Naughty Boy featuring Sam Smith in its fourth week in the top 10. It’s a second week inside the ten best-sellers for Miley Cyrus‘ “Wrecking Ball” as it climbs four places at nine (4,000 sales / +14%), the song reached number seven four weeks ago.
Eminem moves up a massive 44 places at ten with “Berzerk” in his seventh week on the chart (4,000 sales), the song is his eighth top 10 hit, and the first since 2010 when “Love The Way You Lie” (featuring Rihanna) peaked at three in October. “Without Me” (in July and August 2002) and “Lose Yourself” (in March 2003) also reached number three.
Three songs drop out of the top 10 this week. After five weeks inside the ten best-sellers (so far), Katy Perry moves down four places at eleven with “Roar” (3,800 sales / -22%). In its 19th week on the chart, “Summertime Sadness” falls four at number 14 for Lana Del Rey & Cedric Gervais. Last week’s highest new entry at nine, “Droit Dans Le Soleil” is down to number 79 for Détroit (800 sales / -82%) !
In its third week on the chart, “Tsunami” climbs eight places at twelve for DVBBS & Borgeous. “Talk Dirty” moves up one at number 15 for Jason Derülo featuring 2 Chainz in its fourth week inside the top 200. Capital Cities‘ “Safe And Sound” is up two places at 16 in its 13th week on the chart (3,300 sales).
Ellie Goulding gets her first solo top 20 hit in France as “Burn” climbs six at number 20 in its seventh week inside the 200 best-sellers. As a featured artist, she was number ten in August with “I Need Your Love” (with Calvin Harris). “Survival” is new at 21 for Eminem (2,400 sales).
In its eighth week inside the top 200, “Tous Les Mêmes” is up three places at 24 for Stromae. Justin Bieber gets his sixth top 30 hit in France as “Heartbreaker” debuts at number 26 (2,200 sales), “Baby” (featuring Ludacris) was Number One for two weeks in May 2010.
Lykke Li is back up a massive 60 places at 29 with “I Follow Rivers” in her 95th week in the top 200 (1,800 sales). “Voyou” is Fauve‘s first top 30 hit as it enters at number 30. In her fifth week on the chart, Lorde climbs four places at 37 with “Royals”. As she’s new at eleven with Ticket To The World on this week’s albums chart, Ayo moves up 65 places at number 40 with “Fire” in her ninth week inside the 200 best-sellers.
“Booyah” is up twelve at number 46 for Showtek in its seventh week inside the top 200. In its 33rd week on the chart, “Radioactive” climbs eleven places at 48 for Imagine Dragons.
