In its tenth week inside the ten best-sellers, Stromae‘s Racine Carrée spends a ninth non-consecutive week at the top of the French albums chart (29,873 sales / -12%). With 475,500 copies sold, Racine Carrée is now the best-selling album of 2013, Daft Punk‘s Random Access Memories is just behind with 469,700 sales, and La Boîte A Musique Des Enfoirés is at number three for Les Enfoirés (425,000 sales).
The album Forever Gentlemen is this week’s highest new entry at two with 22,016 copies sold. In this LP, sixteen artists such as Garou, Roch Voisine, Dany Brillant, Elodie Frégé among others sing old classics like “La Belle Vie”, “Fly Me To The Moon”, or “New York New York”.
French rapper Kaaris is new at number three with Or Noir (18,551 sales), his Z.E.R.O peaked at 141 in June 2012. Katy Perry gets her third top 10 album as Prism debuts at four (15,213 sales), One Of The Boys was number ten in February 2009, and Teenage Dream reached number three in September 2010.
Moon Landing enters at five for James Blunt with 13,874 copies sold. His last album Some Kind Of Trouble opened and peaked at number three with around 14,100 sales in November 2010. All The Lost Souls was Number One for five consecutive weeks in September and October 2007. The compilation Le Son Dancefloor 2014 debuts at number six (8,200 sales).
Natalie Dessay gets her first top 10 album as Entre Elle Et Lui is new at seven (7,821 sales), her highest-charting LP was Le Miracle D’Une Voix which reached number 21 in December 2006. Amor Latino is Frédéric François‘ fourth top 10 album in the 2000s, it debuts at number eight with 7,771 copies sold. Et Si L’On Parlait D’Amour… peaked at six in May 2005.
In her third week inside the ten best-sellers, Hélène Segara falls five places at nine with Et Si Tu N’Existais Pas (7,456 sales / -13%). The compilation NRJ Hit Music Only 2013 Vol. 2 moves down seven at number ten in its second week on the chart.
Seven albums drop out of the top 10 this week. Bruno Mars is down five at number twelve with Unorthodox Jukebox in his 46th week on the chart (5,200 sales / -19%). After three weeks inside the top 10, Agnes Obel falls seven places at 13 with Aventine. Birdy‘s Fire Within also moves down seven at number 17 in its fifth week in the top 250. Luis is down 13 at number 18 for Vincent Niclo after four weeks inside the ten best-sellers (4,700 sales / -30%). In her 25th week on the chart, Zaz falls eleven at 19 with Recto Verso. The compilation NRJ 200% Hits 2013 Vol. 2 moves down eleven places at 20 in its sixth week inside the top 250. Last week’s highest new entry at two, New falls a massive 22 places at number 24 for Paul McCartney (3,800 sales / -63%).
Yodelice is new at eleven with Square Eyes with 6,759 copies sold, it’s his third top 15 album, after Tree Of Life (number eleven in May 2009), and Cardioid (number nine in November 2010). Aftershock is Motörhead‘s first top 20 album as it debuts at 14. In its 31st week on the chart, the musical Robin Des Bois is up six places at 16.
Lana Del Rey climbs eight places at 34 with Born To Die in her 91st week inside the 250 best-sellers, the album was Number One for two weeks in February 2012. Another former chart-topper (for two weeks in August), Luc Arbogast‘s Odysseus moves up seven at number 37 in its 12th week on the chart. Cats On Trees are new at number 38 with their eponymous album.
