It’s a tenth non-consecutive week at the top of the French albums chart for Stromae‘s Racine Carrée in its 11th week inside the top 10 (28,523 sales / -5%). The LP has sold 504,985 copies so far. In its second week on the chart, the album Forever Gentlemen is also a non-mover at number two (19,337 sales / -12%).
Arcade Fire get the highest new entry of the week at three with Reflektor (16,356 sales). It’s their third top 10 album, after Neon Bible (number nine in March 2007), and The Suburbs (number three in August 2010). Løve debuts at four for Julien Doré with 13,422 copies sold. This new LP is also his third top 10 album, Ersatz was number two in June 2008, and Bichon debuted and peaked at four in March 2011 with 11,946 sales.
Grand Corps Malade gets his fourth top 10 album as Funambule is new at five (10,491 sales). His Midi 20 reached number three in April and May 2006, Enfant De La Ville peaked at two in April 2008, and 3ème Temps was number three in October 2010. The musical Robin Des Bois spends an eighth week inside the top 10 as it’s back up ten places at six (9,088 sales).
In his second week on the chart, James Blunt slips two at number seven with Moon Landing (8,923 sales / -36%). The compilation NRJ Dance 2013 opens at eight (6,500 sales). Katy Perry moves down five places at nine with Prism in her second week in the top 10 (6,416 sales / -58%). The compilation Le Son Dancefloor 2014 falls four at number ten in its second week inside the ten best-sellers.
Five albums drop out of the top 10 this week. In her second week on the chart, Natalie Dessay is down four places at eleven with Entre Elle Et Lui (5,600 sales / -28%). The compilation NRJ Hit Music Only 2013 Vol. 2 slips three at number 13 after two weeks inside the top 10. Kaaris‘ Or Noir falls eleven places at 14 in its second week inside the top 250 (5,018 sales / -73%). Last week’s new entry at eight, Amor Latino is down to number 16 for Frédéric François. Hélène Segara also moves down eight places at 17 with Et Si Tu N’Existais Pas in her fourth week inside the 250 best-sellers.
The compilation W9 Hits 2014 debuts at number twelve. In her 26th week on the chart, Zaz is back up four places at 15 with Recto Verso. Recharged is new at number 19 for Linkin Park, their album Minutes To Midnight was Number One for one week in May 2007.
In her fifth week inside the top 250, Lorde climbs a massive 139 places at 27 as Pure Heroine has been released physically (3,737 sales). French techno artist and DJ Gesaffelstein is new at number 30 with Aleph. In its 31st week on the chart, Imagine Dragons‘ Night Visions gets its highest-charting position as it climbs 88 places at 51.
Vanessa Paradis moves up 16 at number 52 with Love Songs in her 25th week inside the 250 best-sellers, the LP was at the top for one week in May. Gréco Chante Brel debuts at number 57 for Juliette Gréco. Lou Reed sadly passed away on 27th October, and his album Transformer (released in 1972) is new at 62. He got one top 30 LP with Lulu (with Metallica) which peaked at number 23 in November 2011.
