Incredible, but true : Eminem gets his first chart-topper in the French singles chart as “The Monster” (featuring Rihanna) is new at Number One with 9,296 sales. Eminem had already peaked at three with three songs : “Without Me” in July and August 2002, “Lose Yourself” in March 2003, and “Love The Way You Lie” (featuring Rihanna) in October 2010. “The Monster” is Rihanna‘s fifth Number One, after “Don’t Stop The Music” (for two weeks in October and November 2007), “Man Down” (for five weeks in July and August 2011), “We Found Love” (featuring Calvin Harris, for five weeks in October and November 2011), and “Diamonds” (for three weeks in September and October 2012).
After just one week at the top, “Game Over” is down to two for Vitaa featuring Maître Gims in its fifth week inside the ten best-sellers (6,182 sales / -2%). In their third week in the top 10, DVBBS & Borgeous climb four places at three with “Tsunami” (5,900 sales / +18%). It’s down one at number four for Stromae‘s “Formidable” in its 16th week inside the top 10 (5,500 sales / -8%).
“Talk Dirty” moves up four places at five for Jason Derülo featuring 2 Chainz in its third week in the top 10, the song is the first top five hit for both artists (5,200 sales / +24%). In his eighth week inside the ten best-sellers, Bakermat slips two at number six with “Vandaag”. “Animals” moves down one place at seven for Martin Garrix in its 12th week inside the top 10 (4,900 sales).
Avicii falls six at number eight with “Wake Me Up !” in his 18th week in the top 10 (4,900 sales / -22%). “Venus” opens at nine for Lady Gaga with 4,577 sales, the song is her 13th top 10 hit. Katy Perry is down five places at ten with “Roar” in her seventh week inside the ten best-sellers (4,500 sales / -20%).
Two songs drop out of the top 10 this week. “La La La” falls five at number 15 for Naughty Boy featuring Sam Smith, the song peaked at six in September and spent six weeks in the top 10. Last week’s new entry at number eight, “Do What U Want” is down to 38 for Lady Gaga featuring R. Kelly (1,500 sales / -70%).
In his 16th week on the chart, Julien Doré is up 20 at number eleven with “Paris-Seychelles” (4,200 sales), he got two top 10 hits, with his own version of Alizée‘s “Moi… Lolita” (number two in September 2007), and “Pour Un Infidèle” (with Coeur De Pirate) which was at the top for one week in March 2010. Lorde climbs ten places at twelve with “Royals” in her eighth week inside the top 200 (4,000 sales).
As Lou Reed sadly passed away on 27th October, “Walk On The Wild Side” moves up 42 places at 13 in its seventh week inside the 200 best-sellers (3,800 sales / +280%). His “Perfect Day” (with Mick Ronson) climbs a massive 108 places at number 31 in its third week on the chart (2,100 sales).
It’s a very good week for Eminem as he has four songs inside the top 40, “Berzerk” is up seven at number 17, “Survival” climbs 32 places at 19, and “Rap God” moves up 25 at number 24.
“Story Of My Life” debuts at number 22 for One Direction with 3,071 sales, the song is their fourth top 30 hit. “Best Song Ever” peaked and opened at twelve in August with 3,733 sales. In its 36th week on the chart, Imagine Dragons‘ “Radioactive” finally reaches the top 40 as it’s up 20 places at 32.
Grand Corps Malade gets his first top 50 hit, “Te Manquer” (with Sandra Nkaké) debuts at number 47. It’s getting worse for Justin Bieber as “Recovery” hasn’t even reached the top 50, the song only debuts at 56.
