It’s a 15th non-consecutive week at the top of French singles chart for Pharrell Williams‘ “Happy”, as the song spends its 17th week inside the top 10 (16,400 sales / -31%). Only four songs have spent more weeks at Number One than “Happy” : 20 weeks for Lou Bega‘s “Mambo N°5 (A Little Bit Of)” (from August 1999 to January 2000), 18 for Daniel Lavoie, Patrick Fiori & Garou‘s “Belle” (from September 1998 to January 1999), 17 for Damien Sargue, Philippe D’Avilla & Grégori Baquet‘s “Les Rois Du Monde” (from August to December 2000), and 16 for Youssou N’Dour & Neneh Cherry‘s “7 Seconds” (from August to November 1994). The first French singles chart was published on 4th November 1984.
In its 12th week inside the ten best-sellers, “Dernière Danse” spends a ninth non-consecutive week at number two for Indila (6,300 sales / -22%). We can remember that Alizée‘s “Moi… Lolita” was at two for 13 non-consecutive weeks from September to December 2000. There is no change at number three for London Grammar with “Wasting My Young Years” in their fourth week in the top 10 (5,500 sales / -7%).
It’s a very good week for Clean Bandit featuring Jess Glynne, their “Rather Be” jumps from 13 to number four in its seventh week on the chart (5,200 sales / +93%). “Jubel” is a non-mover at five for Klingande in its third week inside the top 10 (4,600 sales / +5%). In its third week inside the ten best-selling songs, “Dark Horse” is up two places at six for Katy Perry featuring Juicy J (4,500 sales / +10%). It’s down three at number seven for Daft Punk featuring Julian Casablancas with “Instant Crush” in their seventh week in the top 10 (4,300 sales / -19%).
In his third week inside the top 10, Avicii moves up one place at eight with “Addicted To You” (3,700 sales). “Changes” climbs five at number nine for FAUL & Wad Ad vs. Pnau in its 17th week on the chart (3,500 sales / +35%). Maître Gims‘ “Zombie” falls three places at ten in its 15th week inside the ten best-sellers (3,300 sales / -20%).
Two songs drop out of the top 10 this week. After six weeks inside the top 10, “Sirens Call” slips two at number twelve for Cats On Trees. Last week’s highest new entry at six, Coldplay‘s “Magic” is down to 23 (2,000 sales / -53%).
These songs might be in the top 10 very soon : Milky Chance‘s “Stolen Dance” moves up twelve at number eleven in its tenth week in the top 200 (3,300 sales), “Liar Liar” climbs six places at 13 for Cris Cab in its eighth week on the chart (2,800 sales), and “Black Pearl (He’s A Pirate)” jumps from 25 to number 14 for Rebel featuring Sidney Housen in its third week inside the top 200 (2,600 sales).
“Belfast” is this week’s highest new entry at 18 for Indochine, the song is their 13th top 20 hit (2,300 sales). “3e Sexe” was the first one, peaking at number three in April 1986, “J’Ai Demandé A La Lune” was their only chart-topper (for one week in July 2002).
As Bon Anniversaire Les Enfoirés is their 15th Number One album this week, Les Enfoirés jump from 68 to number 22 with “La Chanson Du Bénévole” in their sixth week on the chart (2,000 sales). In its tenth week inside the 200 best-selling songs, “Demons” is up five places at 24 for Imagine Dragons. Black M climbs 26 at number 35 with “Mme Pavoshko” in his third week in the top 200.
In its fifth week on the chart, “Dans Ma Paranoïa” moves up 48 places at 39 to give Jul his first top 40 hit. MIKA is back up a massive 97 places at 40 with “Underwater” in his 53rd week inside the top 200 (1,200 sales), the song reached number twelve in July 2013.
Metronomy‘s “Love Letters” jumps from 115 to number 44 in its third week on the chart. It’s also a good week for Shaka Ponk, their “Wanna Get Free” moves up 28 places at 45 in its ninth week inside the 200 best-sellers. John Legend gets his first top 50 hit in France, as “All Of Me” climbs 52 at number 50 in its fifth week in the top 200.
