Pharrell Williams‘ “Happy” has now the fourth longest reign at Number One in the French singles chart history, as it stays at the top for a 16th non-consecutive week in its 18th week inside the top 10 (12,400 sales / -24%). The song equals the 16-week-reign of Youssou N’Dour & Neneh Cherry‘s “7 Seconds” (from August to November 1994).
We have a new contender for the top spot as “Rather Be” climbs two places at two for Clean Bandit featuring Jess Glynne in its second week inside the ten best-sellers (5,800 sales / +12%). After nine non-consecutive weeks at number two, Indila is down to three with “Dernière Danse” in her 13th week in the top 10 (5,600 sales / -11%).
London Grammar slips one place at four with “Wasting My Young Years” in their fifth week inside the top 10 (4,900 sales / -11%). Klingande‘s “Jubel” is a non-mover at number five in its fourth week inside the ten best-selling songs (4,800 sales / +4%). There is no change at six for Katy Perry featuring Juicy J with “Dark Horse” in their fourth week in the top 10 (4,600 sales / +2%).
In its fourth week on the chart, “Black Pearl (He’s A Pirate)” moves up seven at number seven for Rebel featuring Sidney Housen. “Stolen Dance” is also new inside the top 10, as the song climbs three places at eight for Milky Chance (4,200 sales / +27%). In his fourth week in the top 10, Avicii is down one at number nine with “Addicted To You” (4,000 sales / +8%). It’s a good week for Cris Cab, his “Liar Liar” jumps from 13 to number ten in its ninth week inside the top 200 (3,800 sales / +36%).
Three songs drop out of the top 10 this week. After just one week inside the ten best-sellers, “Changes” slips two places at eleven for FAUL & Wad Ad vs. Pnau. “Instant Crush” moves down five at number twelve for Daft Punk featuring Julian Casablancas in its 34th week on the chart, it peaked at four in February and March. After 15 consecutive weeks inside the top 10, Maître Gims falls three places at 13 with “Zombie”.
“Shot Me Down” re-enters the top 20 as it moves back up seven at number 14 for David Guetta featuring Skylar Grey in its sixth week in the top 200 (2,600 sales). Imagine Dragons get their first top 20 hit in France, “Demons” climbs seven places at 17 in its 11th week on the chart. Indila is back up six at number 20 with “Tourner Dans Le Vide” in her sixth week inside the 200 best-sellers, the song debuted and peaked at 17 in February.
In its sixth week in the top 200, “Dans Ma Paranoïa” jumps from 39 to number 23 for Jul, the song is his first top 30 hit. Julien Doré moves back up 18 places at 25 with “Paris-Seychelles” in his 36th week on the chart (1,700 sales), it reached number eleven in November. In its ninth week inside the 200 best-sellers, “Le Graal” climbs six at number 28 for Kyo, it’s their first top 30 hit since 2005 when “Contact” was number eight in January.
“Come On To Me” is up 15 places at 32 for Major Lazer featuring Sean Paul in its fifth week in the top 200. It’s a good week for Lorde, “Royals” moves back up three at number 34 in its 28th week on the chart, and “Team” jumps from 82 to number 35 in its ninth week inside the top 200 (1,300 sales).
“She Looks So Perfect” is this week’s highest new entry at number 40 for 5 Seconds Of Summer (1,200 sales). Sam Smith gets his second top 50 hit, as “Money On My Mind” climbs 54 places at 45 in its third week on the chart. As a featured artist on Naughty Boy‘s “La La La”, he peaked at number six in October.
In its third week inside the top 200, “Into The Blue” moves up a massive 65 places at 47 for Kylie Minogue, the song is her 28th top 50 hit (1,100 sales). “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head” was Number One for one week in November 2001. “Blonde” is new at 63 for Alizée (870 sales), she reached the top spot with “L’Alizé” (for two weeks in December 2000 and January 2001).
