Xscape gives Michael Jackson his eighth Number One album in France, as it debuts at the top with 34,214 copies sold (29,128 physical + 5,086 downloads). Michael Jackson‘s other chart-toppers are Bad (for six weeks in September and October 1987), Dangerous (for seven weeks from January to October 1992), HIStory : Past, Present and Future – Book I (for two weeks in June 1995), Blood On The Dancefloor – History In The Mix (for one week in May 1997), Invincible (for three weeks in November 2001), Thriller 25 (for three weeks in February and March 2008), and the This Is It soundtrack (for three weeks in November 2009). What about Thriller, you would ask ? The first French albums chart was published in January 1985.

Patrick Fiori gets his highest-charting LP with Choisir which enters at number two with 16,020 sales. The new album is his third top five, Si On Chantait Plus Fort… peaked at four in October 2005, and his last offering L’Instinct Masculin reached number three in October 2010. After three non-consecutive weeks at Number One, Indila‘s Mini World is down to three in its 12th week inside the top 10 (8,911 sales / -20%).

The Black Keys are new at number four with Turn Blue (8,830 sales), it’s their first top 10 album in France. El Camino was number 21 in February 2012. Sadnecessary is a new entry at five for Milky Chance with 7,892 copies sold.

In their sixth week inside the ten best-sellers, Les Prêtres fall four places at six with Amen (7,500 sales / -19%). After 38 consecutive weeks in the top four (!), Stromae is also down four at number seven with Racine Carrée (7,100 sales / -22%). But his debut album Cheese climbs a massive 18 places at 24 in its 115th week on the chart. The compilation NRJ Spring Hits 2014 moves down four places at eight in its third week inside the top 10.

After a two-week absence, Jean-Louis Aubert is back inside the ten best-selling LPs as his Aubert Chante Houellebecq – Les Parages Du Vide jumps from 15 to number nine (4,500 sales). It’s down four places at ten for Black M with Les Yeux Plus Gros Que Le Monde in his fourth week in the top 10 (4,100 sales / -21%).

Five albums drop out of the top 10 this week. After ten consecutive weeks inside the top 10, Pharrell Williams is down six at number eleven with G I R L. The Frozen soundtrack (La Reine Des Neiges) falls seven places at 14 in its 24th week on the chart. It’s also down seven at number 16 for Maître Gims with Subliminal in his 52nd week inside the 250 best-sellers. London Grammar‘s If You Wait moves down seven places at 17 after seven weeks in the top 10. In his fourth week on the chart, Patrick Sébastien falls eleven at number 19 with Ça Va Etre Ta Fête ! (3,100 sales / -37%). 

Charles Aznavour enters at 21 with 90e Anniversaire – Best Of (2,600 sales), his highest-charting album is Duos which reached number three in January 2009. Anastacia gets her fourth top 40 album in France, as Resurrection is new at 33 (1,911 sales). Not That Kind is her only top 10 LP, peaking at number six in July 2000. Vincent Niclo‘s Luis jumps from 104 to number 35 in its 34th week in the top 250, the LP debuted and peaked at number three in October.
