For the first time since December 2011 and Shakira with “Je L’Aime A Mourir”, we have a brand new entry at the top of the French singles chart, and it’s a fourth number one for Rihanna with “Diamonds”, after “Don’t Stop The Music” (for two weeks in October and November 2007), “Man Down” (for five weeks in July and August 2011), and “We Found Love” (featuring Calvin Harris, for five weeks in October and November 2011). Moreover her sales figures (12238) are the highest for the best-selling song since the week ending 29th April when “Somebody That I Used To Know” registered its fifth consecutive week at the top for Gotye featuring Kimbra with 12949 sales. And the song was only released on Wednesday afternoon !
Last week’s number one, “Down The Road” is at 2 for C2C in its fourth week in the top 10, but with higher sales figures (10272 sales, +29%). It’s the first time the top 2 songs have sold more than 10000 sales since the week ending 10th June, when Gusttavo Lima‘s “Balada” was at the top with 11057 sales, and Birdy‘s “Skinny Love” was at 2 with 10577.
There is no move at three for Kid Cudi featuring MGMT and Ratatat with “Pursuit Of Happiness” in their fifth week in the top 10 (7045 sales, -8%). In its 23rd week in the top 10, “Call Me Maybe” is down two at number four for Carly Rae Jepsen (7040 sales, -12%).
Next are two future contenders for the top spot, first Asaf Avidan & The Mojos are up three places at five with “One Day / Reckoning Song” in their second week in the top 10 (5616 sales, +33%), then PSY enters the top 10, as “Gangnam Style” is up 12 places in its fourth week in the chart (4990 sales, +79%).
It’s a bad week for Carly Rae Jepsen, her “Good Time” (with Owl City) falls three places at seven in its fourth week in the top 10. A former number one, “Bara Bará Bere Berê” is down three at number eight for Alex Ferrari in its ninth week in the top 10. “She Wolf (Falling To Pieces)” is also down three places at nine for David Guetta featuring Sia in its sixth week in the top 10 (4847 sales, -9%). “She Wolf (Falling To Pieces)” has sold 27336 copies so far.
In its 14th week in the chart, “Coups Et Blessures” enters the top 10, as it’s up 12 places at number 10 for BB Brunes (4787 sales, +96%). It’s their first top 10 hit, “Lalalove You” was close though, as it reached number 11 in January and February 2010.
Three songs drop out of the top 10 this week. After nine weeks in the top 10, “This Is Love” falls four places at 11 for will.i.am featuring Eva Simons (4358 sales). Khaled is down five at number 14 with “C’Est La Vie”, the song spent three weeks in the top 10. Last week’s highest new entry at 10, Booba‘s “Caramel” is now at number 17 (3439 sales, -16%).
In its 39th (!) week in the top 200, “Stand On The Word” is up a massive 26 places at number 18 for Keedz, the song reached number 12 in June. “M’En Aller” is new in the top 20, as it’s up six at number 20 for Canardo featuring Tal in its 12th week in the chart, it’s the second top 20 hit for Tal after “Le Sens De La Vie” which was number four in March and April.
“Co-Pilot” climbs five places at number 27 for Kristina Maria featuring Corneille in its 15th week in the top 200. In its 42nd (!) week in the chart, “Baby I’m Yours” finally enters the top 30, as it’s up 19 at number 28 for Breakbot featuring Irfane. It’s a very good week for Ellie Goulding, indeed her “Lights” climbs 20 places at 35 in its ninth week in the top 200 (1804 sales).
In its second week in the chart, Lana Del Rey‘s “Blue Velvet” is up 40 places at 40 (1636 sales), it’s her fourth top 40 hit after “Blue Jeans” (number 16 in November 2011), “Video Games” (number two in March), and “Born To Die” (number 13 in February). “Girl On Fire” climbs 18 at number 43 for Alicia Keys featuring Nicki Minaj in its fourth week in the chart.
“Balader” is up 15 places at number 53 for Sexion D’Assaut in its 18th week in the chart. “Follow” is up a massive 146 places at number 54 for Crystal Fighters in its second week in the top 200. It’s a good week for Far*East Movement featuring Cover Drive as “Turn Up The Love” climbs 12 places at 58 in its fourth week in the chart.
A former number one in the UK, Ne-Yo is up 27 at number 66 with “Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself)” in his third week in the chart. Taylor Swift‘s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” is slowly climbing up the chart, as it’s up 15 places this week at number 89.
Ke$ha‘s new song, “Die Young” is new at number 100, she was number one for two weeks in February 2010 with “TiK ToK”. It’s a bad week for Christina Aguilera, as “Your Body” is down 37 at number 121 in its second week in the top 200 (500 sales, -39%).
