It’s a great week for Pharrell Williams, his new LP G I R L debuts at the top of the albums chart, and his “Happy” doesn’t move to spend a 14th non-consecutive week at Number One on the singles chart in its 16th week inside the top 10 (23,700 sales / +12%), the last song to have sold more copies than “Happy” in a week is… Daft Punk‘s “Get Lucky” (featuring Pharrell Williams !) with 26,226 sales during the week ending 26th May 2013. “Happy” is also the first song to spend that many weeks at the top since 2005 when Ilona Mitrecey reigned for 15 consecutive weeks from March to June with “Un Monde Parfait”. This week Pharrell Williams owns 10 songs inside the top 100, and 13 in the top 200. Among others, he stays at twelve as a featured artist on Daft Punk‘s “Get Lucky” in his 47th week on the chart, and enters at 32 with “Gust Of Wind” (featuring Daft Punk, 1,700 sales), and at number 42 with “Marilyn Monroe” (1,200 sales).
“Dernière Danse” is a non-mover at two for Indila in its 11th week inside the ten best-sellers (8,100 sales / -16%). There is no change at number three for London Grammar with “Wasting My Young Years” in their third week in the top 10 (5,900 sales / -39%). In its sixth week inside the top 10, “Instant Crush” stays at four for Daft Punk featuring Julian Casablancas (5,300 sales / -13%). Klingande‘s “Jubel” climbs three places at five in its second week inside the ten best-selling songs (4,400 sales / +16%).
Coldplay get their third top 10 hit in France, as “Magic” debuts at six (4,227 sales). “Viva La Vida” reached number seven in September 2008, and “Paradise” peaked at five in December 2011. It’s down two places at seven for Maître Gims with “Zombie” in his 14th week inside the top 10 (4,100 sales / -16%).
In its second week inside the ten best-sellers, “Dark Horse” moves up one at number eight for Katy Perry featuring Juicy J (4,100 sales / +8%). Avicii also climbs one place at nine with “Addicted To You” in his second week in the top 10. “Sirens Call” falls four at number ten for Cats On Trees in its sixth week inside the top 10.
One song drops out of the top 10 this week. “Can’t Remember To Forget You” moves down four places at eleven for Shakira featuring Rihanna in its eighth week on the chart, the song was number five in February.
It spent four weeks at the top of the U.K. singles chart, and it’s also very successful in France : “Rather Be” jumps from 30 to number 13 for Clean Bandit featuring Jess Glynne in its sixth week inside the top 200 (2,700 sales / +50%). In its 16th week on the chart, “Changes” is up six places at 14 for FAUL & Wad Ad vs. Pnau (2,600 sales). Cris Cab‘s “Liar Liar” climbs ten at number 19 in its seventh week inside the 200 best-sellers.
“Stolen Dance” moves up 15 places at 23 for Milky Chance in its ninth week on the chart. In just its second week inside the top 200, “Black Pearl (He’s A Pirate)” climbs a massive 58 places at number 25 for Rebel featuring Sidney Housen.
It’s a very good week for Imagine Dragons, their “Radioactive” is up 30 places at 28 in its 54th week on the chart as it was sung on the TV show “The Voice” last Saturday, and “Demons” is their second top 30 hit, the song jumps from 39 to number 29 in its ninth week inside the 200 best-sellers.
The Shin Sekaï get their second top 50 hit with “Rêver”, the song climbs 14 places at 43 in its eighth week on the chart. As featured artists on Maître Gims‘ “Ça Marche”, they were number 29 in October 2013. “1.2.3” moves up 36 places at number 44 for Team BS in its second week in the top 200.
In its third week on the chart, “Come On To Me” jumps from 55 to number 45 for Major Lazer featuring Sean Paul. Jason Derulo is back up six places at 50 with “Marry Me” in his tenth week inside the 200 best-selling songs.
