On Saturday 19th January, 6.7 millions of viewers watched “Samedi Soir, On Chante Goldman” on the French TV channel TF1, so there is no surprise to see “Génération Goldman” back at the top of the albums chart for a third week as it climbs two places (26,543 sales / +69%). In its ten weeks in the top three, the album has sold 570,920 copies. It’s also a very good week for Jean-Jacques Goldman‘s own best-of which is up 14 at number 12 in its 71st week on the chart (around 4,300 sales). “Singulier 81/89” was released in 1996.
There is no change at number two for the compilation “NRJ Music Awards 2013” in its fifth week in the top 10 (around 19,300 sales / +20%). After just one week at the top, “Millésimes” is down to three for Pascal Obispo in its third week in the top 10 (around 18,200 sales / +10%).
In her 12th week in the top 10, Céline Dion stays at number four with “Sans Attendre” (9,854 sales / -5%), the album has sold 623,112 copies so far. In its 45th week on the chart, “Le Droit De Rêver” gets its peak position as Tal is up one at number five (8,299 sales / +44%).
Adele slips one place at six with “21” in her 87th week in the top 10 (around 6,400 sales / +7%). In its second week on the chart, the soundtrack of “Django Unchained” climbs 11 places at number seven (around 5,900 sales / +90%).
In its fourth week in the top 10, “Unorthodox Jukebox” is still at number eight for Bruno Mars (around 5,000 sales / +4%). Birdy is back in the top 10 as her eponymous album is up three places at nine in its 39th week on the chart (4,888 sales / +25%). “O Filles De L’Eau” falls three at number ten for Nolwenn Leroy (4,570 sales / -6%), the album has sold 206,448 copies in its nine weeks on the chart.
Two albums drop out of the top 10 this week. After seven weeks in the top 10, Patrick Bruel is down seven places at 17 with “Lequel De Nous”, the album entered at the top in December. “Opéra Rouge” falls 14 at number 23 for Vincent Niclo & Les Choeurs De L’Armée Rouge (around 3,100 sales / -24%).
Jake Bugg enters at number 11 with his eponymous debut album (4,474 sales). Laurent Voulzy is up a massive 19 places at number 21 with “Lys & Love” in his 61st week in the top 200 (around 3,300 sales), the album reached number two in December 2011. “The Reckoning” gets its peak position as Asaf Avidan & The Mojos climb 18 at number 30 in their 16th week on the chart.
