M. Pokora‘s R.E.D. just keeps the top spot of the French albums chart for a second consecutive week (20,035 sales / -68%). The LP has sold 83,367 copies in its two weeks on the chart.
M. Pokora‘s major threats came from two big winners of last Friday’s French music awards (“Victoires De La Musique”). In her 37th week on the chart, Christine And The Queens gets her peak position as Chaleur Humaine moves up three places at two (19,153 sales / +125%). She won two trophies, as best female artist and for her video of “Saint Claude”. “Un Jour Au Mauvais Endroit” won song of the year, and Calogero‘s Les Feux D’Artifice is still at number three in its 26th week inside the top 10 (17,055 sales / +13%).
The soundtrack to the movie Cinquante Nuances De Grey (Fifty Shades Of Grey) is this week’s highest new entry at four with 16,753 copies sold. In its 23rd week inside the ten best-sellers, Kendji Girac‘s eponymous LP falls three places at five (16,490 sales / +8%). Even if he was not nominated at all in the French music awards, his album has now sold a great total of 657,360 copies.
In his 26th week in the top 10, Black M climbs one at number six with Les Yeux Plus Gros Que Le Monde (12,579 sales / +66%). Diana Krall slips three places at seven with Wallflower in her second week on the chart (8,400 sales / -26%).
Julien Doré won the award for best male artist at the “Victoires De La Musique” and owns two LPs in this week’s top 15 : Løve jumps from 38 to number eight in its 68th week inside the top 250 (6,706 sales), and his Løve Live opens at eleven (6,300 sales). Indila‘s Mini World is down one place at nine in its 35th week inside the ten best-sellers (6,649 sales / +25%). The Avener falls four at number ten with The Wanderings Of The Avener in his fourth week in the top 10 (6,570 sales / -19%).
Two albums drop out of the top 10 this week. After three non-consecutive weeks inside the top 10, x falls six places at 15 for Ed Sheeran. Jul moves down eight at number 18 with Je Trouve Pas Le Sommeil in his tenth week on the chart.
Two compilations are new entries inside the top 20, as NRJ 200% Hits 2015 debuts at twelve, and 66 Hits 2015 enters at number 13. It was named album of the year at the French music awards last Friday : Alain Souchon & Laurent Voulzy‘s self-titled LP is back up seven places at 14 in its 12th week inside the 250 best-sellers.
In its 32nd week on the chart, Sia‘s 1000 Forms Of Fear climbs nine at number 16. They won nothing last Friday, but Brigitte jump from 40 to number 19 with A Bouche Que Veux-Tu in their 13th week in the top 250. Ce Que Je Suis is up 13 places at 20 for Vincent Niclo in its tenth week on the chart.
He won another trophy for best tour : Stromae moves up seven at number 24 with Racine Carrée in his 78th week inside the top 250. In his 31st week on the chart, Sam Smith finally enters the top 30 as In The Lonely Hour climbs a massive 31 places at 30.
Anaïs Delva Et Les Princesses Disney debuts at number 33 for Anaïs Delva (2,849 sales). She sang the French version of Frozen‘s “Let It Go” named “Libérée, Délivrée” in French. Sucker is new at 42 for Charli XCX (2,317 sales). Her True Romance didn’t chart.
