In its third week in the top 10, “Thrift Shop” takes the top spot of the French singles chart as it climbs three places for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis featuring Wanz (around 9,700 sales). After just one week at the top, “Scream & Shout” is down to number two for will.i.am featuring Britney Spears in its 10th week in the top 10 (around 8,700 sales).
Thanks to the physical sales (he’s only at eight in the downloads), PSY stays at three with “Gangnam Style” in his 18th week in the top 10. Bruno Mars is back up one at number four with “Locked Out Of Heaven” in his 10th week in the top 10 (around 7,700 sales). In its 19th week in the top 10, it’s also up one place at five for Asaf Avidan & The Mojos with “One Day / Reckoning Song” (around 7,700 sales). After 16 consecutive weeks in the top five, Adele falls four at number six with “Skyfall”.
The highest new entry is at seven for Booba with “A.C. Milan” (around 6,700 sales), it’s his second top 10 hit, “Caramel” reached number ten in September 2012. In its 18th week on the chart (all inside the top 10), Rihanna‘s “Diamonds” slips one at number eight (around 6,600 sales).
In her 10th week in the top 10, Emeli Sandé is up one place at nine with “Read All About It (Pt. III)” (around 4,500 sales). As it was sung by a candidate in the TV show “Nouvelle Star”, “Nightcall” climbs ten at number ten for Kavinsky (around 4,400 sales). It’s the song’s second week in the top 10, it also reached number 10 in the week ending 19th February 2012 !
Two songs drop out of the top 10 this week. “WatiBigAli” is down five places at 14 for Big Ali featuring Wati B. After only one week in the top 10, “Suit & Tie” falls a massive 31 places from eight to number 39 for Justin Timberlake featuring Jay-Z.
Bingo Players are up two at 11 with “Get Up” in their fourth week on the chart (around 4,400 sales). In its sixth week in the top 200, it’s up six places at 15 for Youssoupha featuring Ayna with “On Se Connaît” (around 3,300 sales).
As the singles chart registers sales from Monday to Sunday, we can already notice changes provoked by the “NRJ Music Awards” which were on TF1 on 26th January. “Girl On Fire” is back up six at number 16 for Alicia Keys featuring Nicki Minaj (around 3,200 sales), the song reached number five in November. Carly Rae Jepsen climbs eleven places at 24 with “Call Me Maybe” (around 2,100 sales), she was at the top for 11 non-consecutive weeks from June to September 2012. “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” gets its peak position as it’s up 18 places at 41 for Taylor Swift (around 1,400 sales). Emeli Sandé is back up 87 at number 43 with “Next To Me” (around 1,400 sales), the song was number 18 in July 2012.
In their 10th week on the chart, The Lumineers are up eleven places at 23 with “Ho Hey”. It’s also for a good week for Anthony Hamilton & Elayna Boynton with “Freedom”, the song taken from the movie “Django Unchained” climbs 12 at number 28 in its second week on the chart.
“Les Contraires” is new at 34 for Zazie (around 1,600 sales), it’s taken from her new album “Cyclo” which will be released on 18th March. Solange is also new at number 38 with “Losing You” (around 1,500 sales), it’s her second top 40 hit after “I Decided” which reached number 28 in November 2008.
